Here Is A Big Place started as one musical idea. Through repeating it in a various locations, it becomes many. This website documents the ongoing project.
For each performance in each distinct place, as Raymond and Richard play, they listen on headphones to the recording made in the preceding location. Every fresh iteration is a response to what has gone before and maps onto the same structure. The listener will hear only the latest variant, the previous version being in the performers' headphones alone.
Through time and repetition, the original idea mutates, each place creating a new piece of music.
